Minneapolis, MN

What to expect?

  • Large, free parking lot directly next to the park
  • Playground for littler kids and one for bigger kids, both of substantial size and close to one another
  • Sand footing plus a little rubber leading to accessible playground equipment options
  • Port-a-potty next to the parking lot
  • Animal track “scavenger hunt”
  • One accessible swing, one baby swing and a couple regular swings
  • Well shaded, thanks to tons of tall, beautiful trees
  • Roller slide (I love these things!)
  • Many benches, some overlooking the river
  • Sidewalk running/biking path that goes along the river
  • Take a short walk down the sidewalk to see a gorgeous view of downtown Minneapolis
  • In the area options include: the I Like You store (for some super cute photos in front of the iconic “I Like You” wall), the Stone Arch Bridge, Mill Ruins Park, Minneapolis Bouldering Project, Black Sheep Pizza

What to bring?

  • Bug spray (lots of trees and near the river)
  • Sand toys
  • Sidewalk chalk could be fun
  • Bikes if you want to cruise the path
