Make it a Munki Munki Jammie Night

Three kids of varying personalities run my house. I mean, they don’t just run around it…they actually RUN it. I feel like I’m in a constant battle to get them to sit at the dinner table for longer than four minutes, pick up their cars, skateboards, Barbie shoes and Legos before they break their necks, and just put on their doggone shoes and socks already! We rarely sit in my house and it’s become second-nature to be on the go. I’m fine with it, but every parent needs a break. And, NEWS FLASH, so does every child. Relaxation and down time is good for the soul, so that’s why my husband and I plan special movie nights with the kids (sometimes even one-on-one) which they love!

My middle child is my craziest one, so getting her to settle in for a good flick isn’t always easy. So this past week, we scheduled a mommy-daughter Zootopia movie night and I surprised her with a gift…something much better than popcorn. We both unwrapped our brand new pajamas, specially ordered from Munki Munki, put them on and literally wore them for the next 20 hours.

Coming from a child who prefers sleeping in her birthday suit, I was actually shocked how often she has worn her new pajamas since our movie night. She is four years old and loves how easy they are to button by her self, how soft, warm and cozy they are, and it definitely helps that they’re pink.

I got lost in the wonderful world of hoodies and robes and leggings and nightshirts for me and sleepers and long johns and rompers and dresses (oh, the cutest little dresses) for the kids that I almost spent a small fortune with the justification that, hey, we DO spend like 33% of our lives sleeping. While prices do tend to range on the higher end, everyone deserves one solid set of jammies for movie nights and rainy days with crazy, wild children, am I right?
